Asian Queer Alliance Toronto
AQUA is a space created by and for queer Asians of marginalized genders in Tkaronto. Queer Asians meaning those identifying as LGBTQQIP2SAA+ from Asia, including South and Southeast Asia, and marginalized genders including cis and trans women, non-binary folks, trans men and gender diverse people. Connect-Clinic offers specialty services to trans and gender diverse individuals, including non-binary and genderqueer folx. The term trans refers to transgender, transsexual, gender non-conforming, and gender questioning persons. Different medical treatment plans and supports are offered in order to meet individual needs and goals. This program offers telemedicine-based medical consultations, advice and treatment related to trans care, including general health and wellness services, hormone therapy, and surgery referrals. All services are covered by Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). Referrals to this program are appreciated and accepted, though they are not necessary.
